Lankayan Island

Lankayan is a beautiful island just off the coast of Malaysian Borneo which is both a turtle sanctuary and a protected marine park. There is only one resort on the island, and the coral reefs around Lankayan are patrolled by marine rangers to keep out fishermen. As a result, Lankayan is a beautiful spot for snorkellers and divers as well as a great place to go for a day trip from Sandakan on the coast to see the turtles and laze on the beach
